Diane Poslosky

Executive Director Emerita

Diane has served as ETC’s dedicated Executive Director for over 35 years. She taught environmental education, was an elementary school teacher, and supervised conservation work and education for high school students in California State Parks, the southern Rockies of Colorado and the wildlands of Alaska. Diane received the California State Teacher Association’s Gold Award for excellence in Education and a Jefferson Award in 2009. Diane holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies and a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential from California State University, Sonoma. Under her leadership, ETC was awarded the Dewitt Partnership Award by the California State Parks. Diane  has grown ETC from a home-grown great idea to a nationally recognized pioneer in adaptive and educational outdoor adventure programming. When not in the office, Diane can be found paddling her sea kayak, mountain biking on a Bay Area trails, rafting a river, or expressing her passion for nature through watercolors. Diane’s steady leadership over three decades has been inspired by ETC’s unique community of participants, partner agencies, volunteers, donors, staff, etc etc etc.
