Youth LEAD Fellowship

Learn about our Fellowship!

Graduates of ETC’s Youth LEAD Summer Programs are invited to apply for a school-year Fellowship that deepens their connection to the outdoors and strengthens their leadership skills. Throughout the academic year, Fellows participate in engaging workshops, hands-on activities, and training as sea kayak assistant guides. The program features biweekly meetings covering a wide range of topics—from natural and human history to social and food justice—and monthly outdoor adventures in the beautiful parks, preserves, and open waters of the greater Bay Area and beyond. This is a great way for youth to stay involved with the ETC community after the summer course, gain experience as an outdoor guide, and even get paid in the process. Incoming Fellows receive a stipend of $130 per month and returning Senior Fellows receive a stipend of $150 per month.

Fellows Make Lasting Connections

After our summer courses, and the YLP Fellowship, ETC offers unique opportunities for alumni to stay connected to the community, continue to build leadership skills, and stay engaged in natural spaces. Both volunteer and paid opportunities available! Learn more about the YLP pathways below and on our “Join our Team” page.
