Fellowship Internship

Learn about our Fellowship!

Graduates of ETC’s Youth LEAD Summer Program become eligible to apply for an eight-month Fellowship to continue developing their connection to the outdoors and leadership skills through workshops, activities, and training as  sea kayak assistant guides. All of the activities take place outdoors in beautiful parks, preserves, and open waters of the greater Bay Area. In addition to leadership skills development, we study the region’s marine and coastal ecosystems, learn more about the history of the Bay Area, and build lasting connections with the small cohort of Fellowship participants and the larger ETC community. This is a great way for youth to stay involved with the ETC community after the summer course, gain experience as an outdoor guide, and even get paid in the process. Fellows receive a stipend of $100 per month.

Fellows Make Lasting Connections

After our summer courses, and the YLP Fellowship, ETC offers unique opportunities for alumni to stay connected to the wilderness and continue to build leadership skills through ETC Volunteer Guide Training, ETC Internship and employment opportunities (all for ages 18+).
