Kirsten Gibney Scott

Board Chair: Partner, Renaker Hasselman Scott LLP. Employee benefits and employment lawyer representing employees and retirees. JD, University of California, Berkeley. BA, University of Pennsylvania. Her hobbies include sea kayaking, biking, photography, and taking adventures with her husband and two kids.
Carol Pereira

Board Vice-Chair: CFO, Altamont Capital Partners, a Private Equity firm based in Palo Alto, CA; Former Board President, The Carey School; BS Engineering and BS Economics, University of Pennsylvania; MBA, Stanford University. Carol loves to SCUBA dive, swim and travel.
Russell Sprunger

Board Secretary: Strategy & Operations Manager, Google; BS, University of Southern California; MBA Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. Russell loves getting outdoors on foot, biking, boarding or skiing with friends and family.
Willie Halsted

Board Treasurer: Vice President at Silicon Valley Bank’s Climate Tech division. B.S. in Business Operations from Georgetown University. Willie is passionate about contributing to climate solutions, preserving nature and democratizing access to the outdoors. In his spare time, he loves rafting with ETC as a volunteer guide as well as hiking, biking, and backcountry skiing.

Retired estate planner for families and businesses. University of California Davis, BS. In his spare time, Bob is a woodworker, fly fisherman, photographer, cook and kayaker.

Matt Ackley

Writer. MFA, American Film Institute (AFI). Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting from the
Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences. A former NOLS instructor and ETC intern, Matt
enjoys swimming, hiking, and whitewater rafting. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, kids, and
dog, Sunny.
Elena Van Loo

Senior Administrative Analyst, Customer Access & Accessibility, BART. Former youth wheelchair basketball coach. Longtime ETC guide, inclusion trainer, youth mentor, public speaker. Loves to connect with all diversities but put focus in bringing individuals with disabilities into the ETC family to enjoy the outdoors!
Howard Levitt

Retired Director of Communications and former Chief of Interpretation and Public Affairs, Golden Gate National Recreation Area, National Park Service. BA, University of California, Berkeley. An avid cyclist, Howard is an active volunteer with the San Francisco Education Fund, San Francisco Village, Reading Partners SF,  the SF Bicycle Coalition and ETC.  Howard met his wife, Wendy Scheffers – also a longtime volunteer guide – through ETC.
Tom Morehouse

Consultant, Shipping and Information Storage Industry. MBA, San Jose State. Tom spends his off-hours hunting, fishing, and teaching fly casting.
Cecilia Oduwole

PMP: Business Consultant, Specialist at Kaiser Permanente. Twenty-five years working at all levels of finance departments for large and small nonprofit organizations and private companies (from GAP, Inc. to Nellcor, to Assay Technology). BS, International Business from San Francisco State University, San Francisco. Cecilia enjoys dancing, reading and nature walks.

(Emeritus) History Professor, Stanford. Ph.D. and MA, Yale; AB, Stanford; former Associate Dean of the School of Humanities, Stanford; Coro Foundation Board of Directors; Stanford Associate Board of Governors; History Pulitzer Prize-winner in 2000.
Harriet Moss

(Emeritus) Former President and CEO of Antenna Audio, Inc.,  the world’s largest producer of audio tours for museums and visitor attractions. Harriet served on the boards of Friends of the River, Carpe Diem West and ETC and is currently the President of the West Marin Fund, a foundation supporting the communities of West Marin.
Kathryn Lino

(Emeritus) Office Manager for James Lino Construction; West Marin community volunteer; Retired sign language interpreter for people who are deaf / hard of hearing; parent of ETC Youth LEAD alumnus; BA in Outdoor Education from Dominican University.
Charlie Sharp
